Papercraft is an activity that can go from a few simple folds to intense and painstaking folding and gluing; there are levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Artist Destro2k is definitely at the latter end of the spectrum. He’s designed and built several video game characters from paper to the point where they look like they stepped off the screen and into your living room.
He starts with a 3D program and sort of maps out the character in mesh. He prints the guides and starts carefully folding and assembling the character. Just the head portion of Yoshi took two weeks. Wowza. That’s patience I can barely imagine.
Check out more designs like Claptrap, Knuckles, and more after the break.
